News: Tower-Defense Game Vespia: Shield of Aberration will release in April

Vespia: Shield of Aberration
is a tower-defense game where players take on an onslaught of advancing anomalous monsters. The game bring a breath of fresh-air to
the tower-defense genre where players are free to construct custom spells which their characters use.
Vepsia is developed by Hourglass Studios, an independent studio created by a solo-developer with a love for the games industry. It
features an original soundtrack created by a local music studio, Honywood Studio.
✪ Extensive Unlocks
Research new cards, abilities and characters using the flux gained from destroying the anomalous creatures.
✪ Spell-Building
Spells are executed in a sequence where previous effects can modify the next spell in the sequence. This allows for
possibilities such as a laser that fire twice, a bolt that explodes on impact, or a burst of projectiles which teleport
to the nearest enemy. All crafted spells have generated names which explain their behaviour.
✪ Character Abilities
Each character has their own custom ability which can be unlocked. These range from fireballs, to the construction of shield
walls that extend the paths which enemies need to take.
✪ Boss Enemies
In the full-version of the game, there are multiple different boss enemies that appear at certain points in the games. Each
of these bosses have unique effects, such as generating a shield. These unique effects require the player to figure out the
best combination of spells to bypass the resistances of the boss.
The Vespia: Shield of Aberration Demo is available for download on steam already, and the full game will be releasing in April 2025.
