News: The Whisker Watch - Cozy Cat Roguelike Revealed

Catch the Void, a Toronto-based indie studio, has unveiled The Whisker Watch, a cooperative roguelike game featuring two cats defending their oblivious Human from Chthonic evil spirits. Set in a cozy yet chaotic mansion, players battle supernatural foes at night using mischievous tactics like strategic vomiting, tactical “gifts,” and well-timed hairballs. Each run dynamically reshuffles the mansion’s rooms, traps, and secrets, keeping gameplay unpredictable and engaging.
Designed for both online and local co-op, The Whisker Watch is also fully playable solo. Players can synchronize attacks, such as rolling through enemies in a “catball” or combining “junkits” to create electrified shield barriers. During the day, switch to management mode to sleep, recover, and upgrade the mansion, reducing Chaos levels while decorating and interacting with NPCs. The game weaves a warm story filled with mansion mysteries, enhanced by cat customization with skins and accessories.
Built in Unity by a seven-person team at Catch the Void, The Whisker Watch blends action-roguelike combat, cozy management, and 2D comedic charm. It targets PC via Steam in 2026, with consoles under consideration. The studio, fueled by caffeine and cats, invites players to wishlist the game and explore its press kit and teaser. Community-driven development will shape this colorful, quirky adventure through player feedback on Discord.
