News: Super Alloy Crush - New Steam Demo Launches Soon
Independent developer Alloy Mushroom has announced a new demo for Super Alloy Crush, a fast-paced 2D roguelike brawler inspired by Mega Man classics, launching on Steam on January 22, 2026. Set aboard the spaceship Ranger, players join Cosmic Hunters Muu (Unit-02), a close-combat robot with energy claws excelling in agile aerial combos and massive damage, and Kelly, an enhanced human mastering firearms and tactical martial arts for high-skill battlefield control. The game delivers visceral side-scrolling platforming and roguelike combat in a cosmic adventure where every run offers thrilling, replayable action, playable solo or in local co-op for explosive combo chains and overdrive bursts against tough foes.
Super Alloy Crush features three modes—Story Mode, Battle Rush, and Ultimate Challenge—available in solo or co-op. Deep customization comes via 50+ Tech Arts and hundreds of Chips per character, enabling unique builds like multi-air-jumps, infinite energy, or layered HP. A support system provides revive checkpoints via portable recovery ships and ally assistance in tight spots. Combat emphasizes strategy: exploit elemental weaknesses (electricity vs. machines, fire vs. biological enemies) and use environments to gain edges. Challenging bosses match player power, charging Overdrive Bursts—counter by attacking during openings to break their stance and interrupt attacks for dominance.
Alloy Mushroom, founded by Mabimogu (Mogu), creator of Super Alloy Ranger and producer of The Vagrant, focuses on 2D action games with pixel art and HD animation. Programmer Lin Binglie assisted with Super Alloy Ranger's porting. This new demo lets players experience the high-energy gameplay of Super Alloy Crush, building toward its full Early Access release on Steam, where community feedback will shape ongoing improvements to forge an outstanding roguelike brawler adventure.
