News: Redhowl - Relive Little Red Riding Hood in a Social Deduction Demo now on Steam
Redhowl is a new social deduction game inspired by the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood, now available in demo on Steam. Developed by French independent studio BENOM STUDIO, the game transports players to the village of Grandma deep within the forest of Redhowl. Designed for 4 to 15 players, it combines real-time action with structured debate phases, integrated proximity voice chat, and intense discussion mechanics. Players take on secret roles with unique abilities, pursuing faction objectives while uncovering hidden Wolves and traitors among the villagers. The experience revolves around alliances, accusations, manipulation, investigation, betrayal, and survival, where the truth remains elusive. A full release is planned for Q4 2026.
In Redhowl, three factions clash day and night with competing goals that create constant tension. The Chaperons form the core group, focused on survival and identifying threats through observation, analysis, and collective decisions. Special roles among them can dramatically shift match outcomes. The Wolves operate from the shadows, transforming each night to secretly eliminate targets, spread chaos, and manipulate discussions using various sabotage tools. The Pathless introduce additional uncertainty with their independent objectives, making alliances fragile and forcing players to question every interaction. Thirteen roles lie at the heart of the gameplay, encouraging varied player behaviors and high replayability, with plans for more roles in future updates.
A standout feature is the Blood Moon, triggered by Wolf rituals, which unleashes random events that alter rules for an entire night and require all factions to adapt quickly. This adds layers of unpredictability and excitement to every session. Redhowl will be featured in the Steam Next Fest on June 15. The demo lets players don their hoods and experience the thrill of becoming the Big Bad Wolf or defending the village with friends. As a fresh take on betrayal games from a passionate duo at BENOM STUDIO, Redhowl challenges the genre with its unique vision blending fairy tale lore and modern social deduction elements.
