News: Mars Attracts - Early Access Launch on Steam

Mars Attracts, the highly anticipated theme park management sim inspired by the Mars Attacks™ franchise, launched into Early Access on Steam on September 15, 2025. Players take on the role of Martian aliens building chaotic amusement parks, abducting humans from across history to serve as star attractions. The release day trailer previews the mayhem, including twisted experiments, cultural delights mixed with cruelty, and dealing with human escape attempts. For those who played the demo during Steam Next Fest in June 2025, the Early Access version introduces new maps, missions, buildings, and characters, building on the demo's popularity that garnered over 1 million views from its 2024 teaser trailer.
In this darkly humorous B-movie style game, budding park managers must construct rides, hire and train staff, manage guest needs, and ensure the abducted humans entertain the Martian visitors. It blends in-depth management systems reminiscent of classics like RollerCoaster Tycoon, Theme Hospital, and Zoo Tycoon with retro-futuristic aesthetics and mischievous humor. The Supporter’s Edition offers exclusive content: a one-hour behind-the-scenes featurette, the full soundtrack, a 56-page artbook with unseen concept art, illustrations, and character designs, plus a bonus human enclosure and the special "Space Age!" character.
Early Access is planned to last about nine months, with development guided by player feedback via the studio’s Discord community. This input will heavily influence the roadmap, allowing fans to shape features and tweaks. Developed by Outlier with support from Northern Ireland Screen and the Government of Ireland, Mars Attracts emphasizes community involvement to create the ultimate Martian park sim. Players can now dive into the chaos on Steam and join the conversation to help mold the game's future.
