Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have released a new high-intensity Gameplay Overview Trailer for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, an upcoming ‘80s-inspired action-horror shooter set to launch on March 12, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). Developed by the team behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, World War Z, and SnowRunner, the game uses Saber’s Swarm Engine to deliver fast-paced, chaotic four-player co-op gameplay. Players control a squad of highly trained mercenaries tasked with eliminating hordes of mutated zombies in a semi-open world filled with relentless enemy waves.

The trailer showcases intense zombie-slaying action, off-road vehicle combat, and a wide arsenal of weapons. Players can choose from 16 primary weapon types—including shotguns, SMGs, sniper rifles, pistols—and various melee options like machetes and crowbars. Four distinct classes are available: Strike, Medic, Operator, and Defender, each with unique abilities that encourage teamwork. Up to four players can team up through matchmaking or private lobbies, with full crossplay support across all platforms. Badass, slime-proof vehicles allow players to crush enemies and traverse the apocalyptic environment with ease.

A limited-time playable demo will be available on Steam from February 19 to March 2, 2026, giving players a chance to experience the carnage firsthand. Pre-orders are now open for the Standard Edition and the Blood Edition. Anyone who pre-orders either version receives the free “Leon’s Secret Stash” DLC. The Blood Edition additionally includes the Bloody Pass with two post-launch DLCs featuring unique character, weapon, and vehicle skins, plus a golden Cosmetic Pack with weapon charms and extra character cosmetics. John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando promises non-stop co-op zombie destruction when it arrives on March 12, 2026.
