Ironwood Studios, the Seattle-based team behind the acclaimed survival driving game Pacific Drive, has successfully closed a $4 million seed funding round led by Lifelike Capital. Launched in early 2024, Pacific Drive has achieved impressive commercial and critical success, selling over 1.5 million units and reaching more than three million players worldwide, boosted significantly by its availability on PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass.

The new capital will directly support development of Ironwood’s next project, allowing the 20-person AA studio—founded in 2019 by Creative Director and CEO Cassandra Dracott—to continue crafting unique, atmospheric titles featuring rich worlds and innovative mechanics. The team remains deeply inspired by surreal environments and the distinctive aesthetic of the Pacific Northwest, elements that defined Pacific Drive and are expected to influence their upcoming work.

Cassandra Dracott expressed gratitude for the continued opportunity to create games and excitement for Ironwood’s future, while Lifelike Capital Co-Founder Randy Lee praised the studio’s exceptional talent, immersive world-building, innovative gameplay, and proven ability to ship and launch a successful title. Both parties look forward to the next ambitious project from the studio that will build on Pacific Drive’s legacy.
