Control Resonant, Remedy Entertainment’s sequel that launched on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, already has a dated post-launch map one day after release. The studio published an update outlining two player-requested features and a later cosmetics pass for protagonist Dylan Faden. New Game Plus Plus is targeted for October. Photo Mode is targeted for November. Additional outfits for Dylan are planned after that, without a locked month. The game shipped with a standard New Game Plus option that lets players carry most of Dylan’s paranatural upgrades into a second campaign. Traversal powers are the main exception, held back so a replay cannot skip entire sections of the warped Manhattan setting. That existing mode currently stops after one extra run. New Game Plus Plus is designed to remove that cap so a finished NG+ file can roll into another NG+ file without wiping stored progress. The studio’s own line on the feature is blunt: players who want 665 loops can try for 665 loops.

Photo Mode is the other headline item. Remedy said the tool has been in development for some time and that the team consulted virtual photographers from its own community while shaping camera controls, framing options, and the overall feel of still capture inside the sequel’s tilted architecture. It did not ship on day one because the studio chose to spend those final weeks on stability and combat tuning rather than on a screenshot suite. A launch-window patch already adjusted enemy health downward and player weapon strength upward after pre-release feedback on fight pacing. Photo Mode is now scheduled to follow in November, which places it after the October NG++ drop and before the late-year rush of other blockbuster releases. Exact feature lists — filters, hidden-UI toggles, pose tools, path tracing captures — have not been published. The studio only confirmed that the mode is meant to be flexible enough for players who treat the Oldest House’s successor spaces as a photography set rather than a combat arena.

Beyond those two dated updates, Remedy noted that the campaign does not hard-stop when the credits roll. Side missions, hidden collectibles, and World Feats remain available after the main story, so players who prefer a single save file can keep exploring without immediately starting New Game Plus. Cosmetics for Dylan are confirmed as a later deliverable, but the studio is holding specific item lists until those packs are closer to shipping. There is no announced story expansion and no confirmed premium DLC slate in the same post. The current message is support through modes and tools: infinite NG+ chaining in October, a community-informed Photo Mode in November, more wardrobe pieces afterward, and continued monitoring of comments from the first days of live play. Control Resonant is also available through cloud streaming on day one for players without high-end local hardware. For a sequel that moved the series further into action-RPG structure, the first post-launch note is practical rather than cinematic: keep the loop running, give people a camera, and keep dressing Dylan while the next systems are built.
